Recreation facilities
The recreation facilities (swimming pool, pool area, playground, basketball court, tennis courts, and dressing rooms) are for the exclusive use of Audubon Park residents and their guests. Please help us keep the community facilities safe, clean, and fun for all.
See the Recreation Rules for specific use rules of our facilities and contact the HOA board if you have any questions.
Rules for all facilities
Hours: Dawn to dusk unless otherwise stated
Please protect our facilities. All residents are responsible for making sure the facilities are kept up and the residents and their guests are obeying the rules. If you do not feel comfortable confronting individual(s) you believe are breaking rules, please contact anyone on the Recreation Committee, the Neighborhood Watch group, or the Audubon Park Homeowners Association Board.
Do not hesitate to call the Durham Police Department (911) if you observe suspicious behavior, either at the recreation complex or anywhere else in the neighborhood.
General rules
The recreation facilities (swimming pool, pool area, playground, basketball court, tennis courts, and dressing rooms) are for the exclusive use of Residents and their guests.
Audubon Park residents are responsible for the conduct of their families and guests, and will be held responsible for all damages or liability resulting from actions of their families or guests.
To obtain an electronic card key enabling access to the pool and tennis courts, you will require an electronic card key. Please fill out the form enclosed with this letter and submit it as directed to obtain your key.
Residents are allowed to have guests who are not Audubon Park homeowners or residents. Guests must be accompanied at all times by the Resident host. The Association reserves the right to limit the number of visits of a non-resident guest.
Each household is issued (2) key cards for the locks on the pool and tennis gates. Sharing key cards with non-Residents will result in deactivation of the card.
Members will be charged $25.00 to replace any lost or deactivated key. Residents must carry a key card and at least one family member must carry a photo ID while using the facilities.
The Durham County Health Dept. requires that all pool gates be kept closed. All members are required to ensure that the gates to the pool area are closed when entering or leaving. Failure to adhere to the county policy may result in closing of the pool by the Health Department.
Any individual bringing a radio to the complex must be considerate of those around and keep the volume down.
No animals except guide animals will be allowed within the complex fenced areas (pool and pool deck, playground, and tennis courts).
If you bring food or beverage items, you are responsible for cleaning up any spills before you leave. Please use the containers provided for trash and recyclables (no liquids please!). The rollout carts are for bagged trash only.
Report any problems to Talis Management, to a Recreation Committee Member, or to the Board.
Any Resident or non-Resident using the facilities outside the posted operating hours will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted as such. The Board may levy fines and penalties for repeated infractions.
All Residents are reminded that use of the facility is conditional upon abiding by posted and published rules.
